GIVERS - “Up Up Up”

First off, let me just mention how difficult it was picking out which GIVERS track to post. I went with “Up Up Up” because I think it’s a great representation of everything this band has to offer. Upbeat, melodic indie rock with hints of their native Zydeco and Cajun music throughout. GIVERS are from Lafayette, LA and I really admire the fact that they take a sound that’s so synonymous with Louisiana and infuse it to create really fun and homegrown indie pop. 

GIVERS has a Dirty Projectors + Vampire Weekend + Animal Collective vibe. Head on over to my blog to listen to another one of their songs and download this track for free over at Pitchfork.

Their debut album In Light is out June 7th on Glassnote. I know I’ll be playing it all summer long.
